The Workshop on Artificial Life and Evolutionary Computation aims to
bring together researchers working in Artificial Life and Evolutionary
Computation to present and share their research in a multidisciplinary
context. The workshop provides a forum for the discussion of new
research directions and applications in these fields, where different
disciplines could effectively meet.


**** Topics of Interest ****

Contributions solicited cover a variety of topics including but not
limited to:

* Bioinformatics and computational biology
* Bioinspired Algorithms
* Bioinspired Robotics
* Complex Systems
* Evolutionary Computation
* Genetic Algorithms
* Modeling and Simulation of Artificial and Biological Systems
* Modeling and Simulation of Social and Economical Systems
* Synthetic and Systems Biology
* Systems Chemistry
* Theories and Applications of Artificial Life


**** Paper submission ****

Contributions are solicited in the form of an abstract (max 4 pages)
or a full paper (max 12 pages) in pdf format (see workshop webpage
for details). Each submission will be refereed by at least three
PC members. The authors of selected contributions will present their
work in a plenary session talk. An electronic book of abstracts will
be provided to the participants.


**** Workshop proceedings ****

The authors of accepted abstracts will be asked to extend their
contribution and submit a full paper. Full papers will be
peer-reviewed by at least three members of the program committee
and selected for a post-conference proceedings volume which is planned
to be published with Springer in their Communications in Computer and
Information Science (CCIS) series (final approval pending).

Notification acceptance: 1st August 2017
Early Registration: 1st September 2017
Deadline for submission of the extended work: 31th October 2017


**** WIVACE & CINI InfoLife workshop ****

WIVACE 2017 will be co-loacted with the InfoLife workshop
(21-23 Sept. 2017). The topics of the two events are common, hence the
participation to both workshops is encouraged. Participants to any of
the two workshops will be allowed to attend both events on Thursday 21
without additional fee.
